WDCoS is an independent charity that seeks to welcome and support refugees and asylum seekers in Wakefield and throughout the district. It offers welcome and support to people of all faiths and of no faith, in a non-judgemental and impartial way.
A keyworker is required to open and close the premises, clean and prepare the venue for drop-in sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays, ensure the smooth running of our routine operations, and facilitate the work of our volunteers. The keyworker is our first point of contact for enquiries and at the heart of our organisation. The keyworker will be actively involved in greeting and helping the asylum seekers, refugees and migrants who come to us for support, as well as promoting the work of WDCoS to organisations and individuals in the Wakefield district.
